How to Use Clove Steam Inhalation
The method is extremely simple and can be done at home in minutes:
- Boil water and pour it into a heat-safe bowl.
- Add 3–5 whole cloves into the steaming water.
- Lean over the bowl, keeping your face at a comfortable distance.
- Cover your head with a towel to trap the steam.
- Inhale deeply for 5–7 minutes.
- Take slow breaks if needed and stop if you feel discomfort.
This approach works because cloves release volatile oils—especially eugenol—when exposed to heat. These aromatic compounds travel with the steam and reach the sinuses, nasal passages, and upper airways.
